Yeah, since the emulator is in a very early release I don't think there's a way to fine tune things like that yet. It's just a matter of waiting it out...

Ok, I managed to get it working after a bit of experimentation.

For those who want to download the emulator, but not deal with registering for the DCEmu forums, you can obtain the file directly from:

http://www.codejedi.com/handy/binaries/handy-wiz-001-alpha.zip

First, I created a new folder for this emu on my SD card in:

(root)/game/Atari Lynx

Then I dropped in the files which were included with the emulator:

handy_wiz
handy.gpe
INSTALL.txt
libiconv.so.2

The instructions inside the readme file stated:

"This is your alpha-hack; it works alright, but no frills yet :)

1) There is no UI yet; a Lynx ROM must be specified upon on the command line, for which I'm supplying handy.gpe for -- edit that to specify a ROM.

2) Invoke handy.gpe from the Wiz >> Launcher menu item

3) You will need to obtain Lynx Boot ROM and name it 'lynxboot.img' -- any other filename and you're out of luck.

4) libiconv is included; keep it in the same directory or it will not run.

5) By default, handy.gpe runs the ROM file 'foo.lnx', so you can just drop in a replacement ROM-file, named that."

So in following the above guidelines I dropped the file lynxboot.img into the emulator directory. (search online, you can find it from a number of sources)

I then took one of my Lynx ROMS (S.T.U.N. Runner) and copied it into the emu directory, but renamed it to foo.lnx. The alternative to this step is to directly edit the file handy.gpe using notepad or something similar to point to the appropriate .lnx ROM file. What I did notice when testing multiple ROMs was that I had to reboot the Wiz any time I wanted to switch games.

All in all I'd say it's a pretty good Alpha release. Was able to play the games nicely (sound was a bit glitchy and lacked volume control). To exit the emulator I pressed L + R + Menu.

Good luck and let me know how this works for you ...

Hi lemonjellydude - I'll go download Handy Wiz Alpha and see if I can get this to work. I got Lynx emulation to work on the Dingoo A320 for my cousin so I'll see if there is much difference here. Thanks for the information and I'll keep you posted!

Wow, I didn't know that there was a Lynx emulator available for the Wiz. I thought it was only for the earlier model GP2X. Can you please post a link to where you obtained the emulator from, as I'd love to try and see if I can get it to work as well...
